Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park is mainly famous for spotting one horned rhinoceros. It is the perfect place for the wild life enthusiasts from all over the world or within India to fulfill the desire and to satisfy the excitement to spot one horned rhinoceros. Kaziranga National Park is one of the oldest national Park in the state of Assam. In the southern direction of the Kaziranga National Park, the famous Karbi Anglong Hills are located and the famous Brahmaputra River lies towards the northern direction of the famous Kaziranga National Park. It was declared as National Park in 1974 and it occupied the total area of 430 sq. Kms in the state of Assam. Apart from one horned Rhinoceros, tourists who visit this national park will love to spot wild elephants and the other wild animals. They can also get the opportunity to spot the Rhinos staying near the highway. From the park area and through the tea estate, the national Highway 37 passes and thus many people get the opportunity to spot Rhinos there.
Kaziranga National Park is the one of the last areas of the eastern India and usually remain undisturbed by the presence of human here and there. But here the tourists are most welcomed and get the opportunity to spot the one horned Rhinoceros apart from spotting out the other mammals including Tigers, elephants, panthers, bears and thousands of different kinds of birds. This popular national park remains open for the tourists from November to April. Tourists can also explore the national park in an adventurous way by riding on the elephant or by enjoying the boating in the River Brahmaputra which crosses through the park.
